Expert System Development for Diagnose Palm Oil Disease based on Android Mobile

Abstract
Abstract— Some areas in West Sulawesi province still have difficulty in diagnosing their palm oil plantation diseases which can threaten palm oil production. Lacking awareness of the early signs for the palm oil disease results in a lot of unsatisfactory plant production. This study focused on the development of an expert system that can help diagnose palm oil diseases. The system is formed into an android application that is easily accessible via a smartphone. Development method that be used is a waterfall model that can be focuses on the process of analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation. Development on android uses apache cordova technology which can be done quickly to change website-based code into an android studio display. The results of the study shows that the results of the development of the expert system application run well on the android platform even though it is formed using apache cordova technology in diagnosing palm oil diseases according to the certainty factor that has been entered into the database.
